I also finish off my topcoat with a gel application made by Nailene. It makes my nail art look like it is under glass and keeps my artwork protected without chips. It is an amazing product because you don’t need an expensive UV light.

You could be using too little polish to paint on the image plate. Make sure the design on the stamping plate is completly covered with polish, then scrape away the excess at a 45 degree angle with your scraper, now roll the stamp accross the surface.

You are not cleaning your plate, stamper and scraper between each use. For the polish to properly rise out of the image plate you must clean with nail polish remover between each use.

You could be doing the whole process too slow and the polish is drying to fast. Try to complete the process of putting the polish on the plate, scraping, and stamping within 5 to 10 seconds.

You are rolling the stamper multiple times. You want to roll the stamper over the image once, don’t go back and forth. Make sure you are applying pressure when you roll the stamp accross your nail.

If your stamper is new and you have tried the above and it is still not working, try buffing the ends of the stamper with a nail file and then clean it with nail polish remover. Sometimes the stamper is too smooth and the designs will not stick, buffing the stamper usually fixes the problem.

Sometimes when your stamping polish is getting low, the liquid is too thick and it won’t let you pick up images as precise anymore… it is time to get a new polish.

Sometimes the image plate isn’t etched deep enough to make the process work. As a last resort try another image plate to make sure you are doing the process correctly.
